Procedure
After our dentists give you a final run through of the procedure, you will be given a local anaesthetic to numb the area around the infected tooth. To keep it clean and dry, a rubber dam will be used to isolate the tooth.
Afterwards, an opening will be drilled through the top of your tooth to access and remove the infected pulp. Once done, the root canal system will be cleaned and shaped. To keep it secured, a temporary filling will be placed in the opening.
You will be asked to come back for the final and permanent crown.
Post-Treatment Care
Post-treatment care for root canal treatment includes avoiding hard foods for at least a week or two, and maintaining good oral hygiene. For any minor discomfort or sensitivity, you may take over-the-counter pain medications.
